Welcome to the home of the Bucksport Area Cultural Arts Society.
The Bucksport Area Cultural Arts Society was formed in the spring of 1999, following in the footsteps of a Cultural Arts Auditorium Study Committee. This committee worked diligently for 18 months pursuing all facets of enriching our community by bringing the reality of a performing arts center into being.
Ensuring the continued viability of such a project was also of importance to this group, and remains at the core of our function.
"The mission of The Bucksport Area Cultural Arts Society is to stimulate the arts within the community and schools, provide a suitable, audience friendly space for the performing arts, provide work and display areas that enable a strong community and academic arts program, and promote life-long learning cultural experiences for the citizens of Bucksport."

BACAS supports and encourages events that provide culturally rich entertainment and enlightenment. To that end, we welcome your ideas. We have provided a simple application form in Adobe Acrobat format that you may download, fill out, and send to us for possible financial sponsorship. Our organization, and the fulfillment of its mission, is totally dependent upon public and private support through contributions, box office receipts, concessions, raffles, and special initiatives. Please visit our "current projects" and "membership information" pages for more details on how you (or your organization) can help us improve and sustain the enjoyment, awareness, and advancement of the cultural arts within the large geographical area we serve.
